1. Introduction

Welcome to L K Websites (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website — lkwebsites.co.uk — and any services or information we provide through it.
By accessing or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not continue to use the site.

2. about us

L K Websites is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom, providing web design and related digital services.

3. use of our website

You agree to use our website lawfully and not in a way that:

Breaches any law or regulation;
May cause harm, nuisance, or offence to others; or
Interferes with or disrupts the website or its security.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time for maintenance, security, or other business reasons.

4. quotes and enquiries

When you submit a Get a Quote or Contact form, the details you provide are used solely to respond to your enquiry.
A submitted quote request does not create a binding agreement until a written proposal or contract is agreed and accepted.
All quotes are valid for 28 days unless otherwise stated.

5. services and contracts

If you decide to proceed with a project, we will issue a separate written agreement or contract outlining:

Project scope and deliverables,

Timelines and milestones, and

Payment terms and schedule.

That document will take precedence over these general website terms in the event of any conflict.

6. payments

All payments for our services will be clearly stated in your individual project agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit is required before work begins, with the balance payable upon completion.
Invoices are payable by bank transfer within 7 days of issue.
We do not process payments through this website.

7. intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

We retain ownership of all design concepts, source files, and original materials created during a project until full payment is received.

After payment, ownership of the final approved website design is transferred to you, the client.

We may display completed work in our portfolio or marketing materials, unless you request otherwise in writing.

All text, images, and materials on this website remain the property of L K Websites or their respective owners and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

8. cancellations and refunds

If you wish to cancel a project after work has begun, any deposit paid is non-refundable.
Further refunds will depend on the amount of work completed at the time of cancellation.
If we are unable to complete a project for reasons within our control, a fair refund will be offered for the uncompleted portion.

9. limitation of liability

We aim to deliver all services with reasonable care and skill.
However, we do not guarantee that the website or services will always be available, error-free, or free from security issues.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, data, or reputation.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services will not exceed the total amount paid by the client for those services.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10. third-party services and links

Our website may include links to third-party websites or use third-party tools (e.g. hosting, analytics, form plugins).
We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third parties.
Users should review the privacy and terms policies of those providers.

11. data protection and privacy

Your privacy is important to us.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
By using our website, you agree that your personal data may be processed in accordance with that policy.

12. changes to these terms

We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the website after such updates means you accept the new terms.

13. governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
